Property Transfers
We represent purchasers and sellers of real property and business operations in all environmental aspects of the transaction. We supervise the consultant’s performance of the necessary environmental studies, identify environmental risks, and advise the client on managing the risks. Then we draft and negotiate environmental representations, warranties, and indemnification for the purchase agreement and other transactional documents.
Indemnification
We advise our clients on any environmental issues arising out of the subsequent operation of the property. For example, we will negotiate or litigate to recover costs caused by another party’s breach of environmental representations and warranties, and will defend clients against indemnification claims.
